Our guide will pick you up from your location at the appointed time. Once in Lisbon, you will begin the tour climbing the cobbled streets or staircases of Alfama, which extends from the banks of the Tejo estuary up to the castle St George’s Castle. As an alternative, you may ride on the number 28 tram. This narrow and undulating tram route is totally unsuitable for any modern trams, so the historic Remodelado trams, which date from the 1930s, provide the service instead. Next, you will explore the main sights of Lisbon, visit Belém to taste some famous Pastel de Nata and, to see the historic Tower of Belém on the Tagus River. Lastly, we will visit the glorious Monastery of Jeronimos, a grand religious building historically associated with the early sailors as explorers, as it was from here that Vasco da Gama spent his last night before his voyage to the Far East. On your way back, you will delight your sight with one of Lisbon’s most iconic monuments, Cristo Rei.
